Heber Utah Market
If anyone knows much about the Park City real estate market, you would probably say that you wish you would have purchased 5 homes before it boomed. We would all be wealthy right now if we did that. But I have seen an interesting trend happening in Heber City (located 20 minutes south of Park City, UT). In September 2005, Deseret News published an article stating that the Census Bureau released figures showing that Heber is the second-fastest growing small city in the country — it swelled 15.1 percent from 2000 to 2003. Pretty interesting for a city with only 8,000 residents last year. Although still a very rural place, I have had the opportunity to focus my business in this area over the previous year. This week, Heber City was granted the rezoning on the Red Ledges development. Equipped with an 18 hole Jack Nicklaus golf course and housing for the wealthy, this is going to incourage growth tremendously. I represent the builder across the street from where this Red Ledges Golf Course is being developed on a project called Beaufontaine at Spring Lakes. I have seen the interest in our homes increase tremendously, not to mention the value. If this is not indicitive enough of the future for Heber, I predict many of us will be saying the same things we said about Park City...and be wrong. Although prices in Heber are being driven up, I would reccomend taking a good look at investments there. Call or email me for any help with investments in Utah.
